Early Childhood Educator (Infant-Toddler / Under 36 Months group)

Position Type: 1-Year Contract (September 2026 – September 2027) with strong possibility of extension

Location: Golden, BC

Setting: Group Childcare (Under 36 Months) — Primary age group is 1–2 years old

Ratio: 8 children to 2 educators

We are seeking a warm, dedicated, and certified Early Childhood Educator to join our team for a one-year contract starting this September. You will working in our Under 36 Month section, co-leading a small, vibrant group of eight children aged 1 to 2 years alongside another certified educator.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-Caregiving: Work closely with a co-educator to provide high-quality, responsive care for 8 toddlers.
• Program Implementation: Plan and carry out age-appropriate, play-based activities that support toddler development (sensory, motor, language, and social skills).
• Routine Care: Manage daily routines with care and respect, including transitions, meal times, outdoor play, and diapering/toileting.
• Safety & Supervision: Maintain a safe, healthy, and closely supervised environment indoors and outdoors.
• Communication: Build positive, professional relationships with families and provide daily updates on their child's day.

Qualifications & Requirements

Note: Candidates must hold a valid ECE certification from British Columbia or another Canadian province.

• Certification: Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate. An Infant-Toddler (IT) designation is advantageous
• First Aid: Valid Child Care First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain before start date).
• Background Check: Clear Criminal Record Check under the BC Criminal Records Review Act (or willingness to complete immediately).
• Skills: Strong understanding of toddler development, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
