Class 3 Driver

Job description
Operate frontload garbage truck collecting containers along designated routes.
Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of waste and recyclables.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
Inspect vehicle daily for mechanical and safety issues and report any defects or
maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate records of waste collected, routes taken, and any issues
encountered.
Regular communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and the public.
Assist in the disposal of waste at designated facilities.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or complaints
professionally.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the truck to ensure it remains in good
working condition.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and
safety.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Requirements
Experience
Previous experience in a similar field or a relevant role.
Class 3 license w/air endorsement drivers’ license and a clean driver’s abstract.
Detail-oriented with a proactive and resourceful mindset.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Physically fit, with the ability to climb in and out of taller vehicles and containers.
Understanding of routing software and computer literacy is an asset.
Education
High school diploma or Equivalent as a minimum.
Courses or programs specifically tied transportation and/or waste industry
