Part-Time Wildlife Manager

Shuswap Bird of Prey is looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual based in or near Golden, BC to join our team in a part-time, year-round position.

This role involves wildlife management at a local landfill, focusing on bird control and monitoring. The position is well-suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions and has a strong interest in wildlife.

Position Details:

2 days per week

6-hour days

Year-round position

Starting at the end of April

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and managing bird activity at the landfill

Using non-lethal wildlife control techniques

Recording daily observations and activity logs

Working independently and maintaining a consistent schedule

Requirements:

Must be based in or near Golden, BC

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong observational skills and attention to detail

Background in biology, environmental science, or related field is an asset
