Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Hospitality or a related field.

 

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in hospitality management and lodging operations.
  • Experience in overseeing implementation of IT systems/infrastructure in hospitality setting.
  • Experience working with international teams is an asset.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of hotel management systems, cloud-based reservation platforms, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with IT projects, system implementation, and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with WebResPro or similar property management systems is an asset.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal staff, external technology vendors, and international partners.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations and the ability to manage staff across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support operational systems in a dynamic environment.

 

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

 

Job Description

As the company expands its lodging operations and continues to serve a growing international clientele, the IT & Operations Manager will oversee both technology systems and daily lodging operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences, reliable IT infrastructure, and efficient business performance.

 

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations including reservations, guest services, housekeeping, and staff coordination.
  • Supervise, train, and support staff across departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor budgets, pricing, and operational performance.

     

Property & Guest Experience

  • Ensure high service standards, handle guest inquiries, and resolve issues.
  • Oversee property maintenance, safety checks, and seasonal readiness.

     

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with BC regulations, licensing, and safety standards.
  • Provide regular reports to management and oversea business owners on revenue, system performance, and operational issues.

     

Vendor and Partner Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and international partners.
  • Support cross-time-zone collaboration and business continuity.

     

IT Systems Management

  • Manage, maintain and support the company’s IT infrastructure, property management systems, and digital operational platforms.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based reservation and booking systems.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and security of operational technology platforms.
  • Coordinate with external IT service providers and global technology teams for system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

 

Operational and Technical Support

  • Provide after-hours technical and operational support as needed

Compensation

$50.00/per hour
