Job Description
Statistics Canada is looking to hire Enumerators in Golden BC to work with the 2026 Census. This is a temporary role, starting in May 2026 and finishing in June / July - depending on workload and location.
The primary responsibility of enumerators is to collect completed census questionnaires from households.
- Enumerators must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week on average, as determined by workload, with the majority of the work completed in the evenings and on weekends. Additional work hours may be available to motived workers.
- Enumerators have some flexibility to determine when they will complete their assigned work, allowing them to work around their existing schedules.
- Responsibilities include collecting data from respondents in person through door-to-door visits, and entering collected data into the Census' Information Management Portal.
- Enumerators receive hourly compensation and are eligible to claim authorized expenses, such as mileage and parking.
Compensation
$25.87/per hour
