About the position
As our company continues to grow, we need to recruit a Laborer.
The purpose of this role is to prepare lumber and timber for the manufacturing process, provide support to the timberframe team in the shop and to take care of tools and equipment. When required, you will travel to the client jobsite to assist with installation.
Location
This full-time position is based at our shop in Golden, BC. Some travel is required in BC and Alberta to client job sites for onsite installation assistance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare lumber, timber and other materials for the manufacturing process
- Maintain a clean, organized shop.
- Sand, wire brush and distress lumber and timber.
- Stain timber, T&G , and other materials.
- Package and load wood, materials, connectors, and tools for transportation.
- Occasionally assist with installation/raising, under direction of appointed Project Leader.
- Clean up of shop and job sites at the end of the day and week.
- Shop, tool and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in timber prep, cutting on the bandsaw mill and planing with a thickness planer.
- Assist the DLT-press operator during the manufacturing process
Requirements

- Ability to work alone and as part of a cohesive team.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional standards of work.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders and scaffolding).
- Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving abstract.
- Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or valid Work Permit for a minimum of 1 year.
- Familiarity with timber frame joinery and structural systems - an asset, not required.
