Physical Labourer/Interpreter

About Us:
Northern Lights Wolf Centre is a unique wildlife education facility located just outside Golden, BC. We’re currently looking for a hardworking and reliable Physical Labourer/Interpreter to join our team and help with the upkeep of our grounds and facilities.
Position Summary:
This role involves a variety of outdoor physical tasks, including firewood cutting and stacking, yard maintenance (mowing, brushing, snow removal), and general upkeep of the property. Additionally, you will also be trained in general gift shop tasks and the interpretive program to help round out the team during the busy season. Ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, can work independently or within a team, and can multi-task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, split, and stack firewood
- Brush clearing and general yard maintenance
- Snow removal and grass cutting (seasonal)
- General facility upkeep as needed
- Interacting with the public and educating them about wolves
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Experience using and maintaining a chainsaw
- Ability to work independently and follow direction
Wage & Hours:
- $18 - $25/hour, starting wage will be dependent on experience
- 25 to 40 hours per week, depending on the season and availability
- Flexible scheduling: full-time or part-time during the season, or casual year-round work available
