Join the East Kootenay Zonal Immigration Partnership (EKZIP) Newcomer Advisory Committee. 

We will meet quarterly (4 times per year) usually for 1.5 hours with in-person and online meeting options, and the possibility to join subcommittees of special interest. 

Across the East Kootenays—Golden, Windermere Valley (Radium, Invermere, Fairmont, Canal Flats), Cranbrook and Elk Valley (Fernie, Sparwood) we’re looking to engage diverse voices from across all sectors to help build an inclusive, welcoming, and connected region for all newcomers and residents alike. We need You!

• Your input helps ensure programs, policies, and services reflect the diversity of the East Kootenay region’s growing population.
• Help bridge relationships between newcomers and local people.
• Work with cross-sector partners to identify and remove systemic barriers that limit newcomer success and belonging.
• Gain committee and volunteer experience while making personal and professional connections.
• Help to plan cultural activities in and across the region.
